Here at LZF we do like to blow our own trumpet. Well, why wouldn’t we? Our lamps are damn gorgeous. And they’re environmentally friendly. And they have the power to transform any space. See, there we go again, blowing away like Miles Davis at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival.
But today we’d like to blow the trumpet of New York based interior design firm Clean Design. Over the years Clean Design has been a great supporter of LZF and we’d like to say the feeling is more than mutual. Winner of this year’s prestigious Best of Design on Houzz, the studio really punches above its weight.
Clean Design was founded by the hyper-talented Claire Paquin. It’s hard to believe that Claire once worked amongst the pinstriped bears and bulls on Wall Street, before discovering her true calling and graduating from the New York School of Interior Design.
From the get-go Claire’s focus has been on creating interior spaces that are elegant, vibrant and most importantly, liveable. Her vision has always been to bring a youthful freshness to residential design. A Clean Design interior will inevitably be comfortable and beautiful, with contemporary touches that complement classic style.
It’s little wonder that Clean Design has become the go-to studio for folks in Westchester and Fairfield Counties, as well as Manhattan and beyond.
One of Clean Design’s latest projects was for a large family room in Scarsdale, New York. The brief was to create a comfortable and functional space for a family of six.
Claire utilized a palette of dynamic and colourful fabric patterns of chartreuse, teal and red (in the curtains and cushions) to showcase the energetic personality of the family. To achieve this fresh brave look, Claire balanced the bold colours in the accent fabrics with soothing grey neutrals in the sectional and the rug.
Naturally, no project would be complete without a Link pendant by the irrepressible Ray Power. See the wonderful photographs by Regan Wood and see how the Link floats above the room, adding playful visual interest to the vaulted ceiling. Available in nine wood veneer finishes, the Link makes beautiful use of wood veneer Möbius strips assorted on top of one another, creating a stunning pattern which captivates the eye.
See, there we go blowing our own trumpet again.
