Last Wednesday LZF hosted its second Garden Gathering for the summer which we dubbed the Bloggers Banquet. I have to say, it was an absolutely beautiful evening with LZF CEO & Creative Director Marivi Calvo and her team carrying out the most spectacular job in preparing the factory and garden for the event!! It was like heaven on earth for all of us who were there.
The event brought together 7 design writers from Scandinavia, UK, France and Holland. The invited guests included Allan Torp from Bungalow5, Emma Fexeus from Ems DesignBlog, Anna Gustafsson from La Maison dÁnna G, Sussan Vento from Varpunen, Gerard McGuickin from Mr Walnut Grey, Igor Josifovic form Happy Interiors and Desiree from Vosges Paris.
The writers had been invited as part of a blogging initiative by RED, whereby they would visit various design studios and companies across Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona for a week. By the time they rolled up to our door step they had been on the road for a couple of days already and had visited a bunch of companies. Luckily we knew what to expect and chose the evening slot to provide a relaxing visit with garden cocktails and dinner.
`CHILL´ was the sentiment we wanted to transmit and with comfy garden furniture by Expormim on which to lounge on, delicious foods on which to feast on, refreshingly cool drinks to throw back, mellow cool music to calm the mind and most importantly, breathtaking LZF lighting under which the whole event would be framed and set, what could go wrong?
The guests were guided downstairs and out into the LZF garden, where they were met by a vibrant green garden, cast in dappled light. Tall trees suspended a canopy of Escape lamps by Ray Power, under which was laid out a beautiful eating area and lounge. There were tables of Spanish tapas, made to order mojitos and watermelon daiquiri´s and don’t forget the wood fired Spanish Paella cooked on site by Bairetas chefs.
We had laughs, chats and as can be imagined, we spent a lot of time under those trees conversing, but by 12am, it was time to leave. After all it was a weekday… So we said our farewells by torchlight and waved them off into the night… Until we meet again we thought.
Comments by Emma Fexus from Ems Designblog:
“I have to say, this was definitely one of the best blogger events I have ever experienced. After stepping out from the factory and into the sunset lit garden, we were all walking around with happy tears in our eyes, and the only thing coming out of our (otherwise quite expressive) mouths were ”stunning” and ”amazing”.”

“Before I really start sharing all the cool brands with you, I wanted to share one of the coolest experiences I have a ever had – The Bloggers Banquet hosted by LZF lamps.”
