Spring 2025: A Season of Encounters and Illumination
This spring, LZF Lamps embarked on a dynamic journey through four distinctive events that carried our lighting designs across continents from Europe to the Middle East. Each stop offered a unique opportunity to share our philosophy: that light is not only functional, but emotional, crafted, and deeply human.
During Milan Design Week, MENU a concept by Bodo Sperlein made its return, transforming the historic All Saints Anglican Church in Brera into a striking contemporary dining space. Far from a conventional banquet, MENU reimagined the idea of gathering around a table as a tribute to craftsmanship, materials, and innovation in design.
Set against the serene, architectural backdrop of the church, the installation unfolded like a composition: each object, texture, and light playing a precise role, much like ingredients in a refined recipe. The result was an immersive experience that invited visitors to engage with design on a sensory and emotional level, turning the act of “dining” into a poetic narrative of form and function.

Exhibition space of the Menu event
At the center of the exhibition, a sweeping 7-metre-long sculptural table became a natural gathering point, a fluid, organic form that echoed the grace and sophistication found throughout the space. Its elegant curves invited visitors to engage not only with the physical surroundings but also with the atmosphere of thoughtful design and material sensitivity that defined the experience.
Among the highlights were Osca, Voliere, and the standout Arabesque chandelier, each one a testament to Sperlein’s sculptural approach and LZF’s signature mastery of wood veneer.including Schotten & Hansen, Lobmeyr, Dibbern, LZF, Edelgrund, Bodo Sperlein and Gan Rugs These luminaires didn’t merely illuminate the space, they shaped it. Their presence offered a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, turning the MENU setting into a dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary design language. In this collaboration, LZF and Bodo Sperlein once again demonstrated how light can transcend function to become pure expression.

The exhibition brought together a selection of renowned names including Schotten & Hansen, Lobmevr, Dibbern, LZF, Edelgrund, Bodo Soerlein and Gan Rugs, each contributing their unique creative voice. The result was a seamless fusion of disciplines, where materials and forms spoke to one another in a language of elegance, precision, and innovation.
Hosted inside the atmospheric All Saints Anglican Church in Brera, the setting played a vital role. Its historic character offered a striking contrast to the contemporary installations, creating a space that encouraged reflection and engagement.

Hosted once again in the elegant Palazzo Castiglioni, right in the centre of Milan, the installation transformed five historic rooms and a lush garden into a vibrant showcase of creativity and craftsmanship. With a design concept inspired by the building’s architectural heritage, the spaces featured carefully chosen color palettes and wallpaper motifs that echoed the palace’s historic character.

Appartamento Spagnolo reminded us once again of the power of collaboration, culture, and design to create something truly memorable.
On April 28th, LZF took part in Design Dialogues II, a key networking event held in Riyadh, aimed at connecting international brands with local designers and specifiers in the habitat and design sector. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with some of the most active players in the Saudi market and explore potential collaborations tied to the country’s ambitious development projects.
