Finding a terrific office in which to work is never easy, especially if you are a freelancer or travelling with your job. Most end up working at a noisy coffee shop, trying to make a flat white last for three hours and being given nasty looks by the proprietors. The really desperate resort to a park bench where they are annoyed by pigeons, the elderly, and small children. And those who do manage to find a ‘share office’ are usually disappointed to discover it consists of a few shower-curtain dividers, a broken card table, and a milk crate for a chair.
Which is why we are big fans of Tribes; a company that offers a global network of inspiring offices, meeting rooms and workplaces that are actually rather stunning. Tribe has built its stellar reputation by providing folks with high-tech equipment and amenities such as dry-cleaning, fitness centres, a library lounge and a Good Food restaurant.
LZF were incredibly stoked to be asked to supply our gorgeous wood veneer lamps to the Tribes offices in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Crielaers & Company an interior design firm that specialises in commercial projects, specified our DOMO pendant lamps by Rqr Studio. And for that we are eternally grateful.
Rumour has it that DOMO, or what we like to call petals of light, was inspired by the ‘dome of silence’ in the TV show, Get Smart. Others say that the team from Rqr were looking at a souvenir snowdome of the Calatrava designed opera of Valencia when they felt the inspiration come on. Whatever the case, DOMO is one of LZF’s most worshipped lamps, with DOMO disciples spreading the word all over the planet.
In our humble opinion the DOMO lamps are a beautiful way to increase workplace productivity.
