LZF’s billowy Link pendant and twisting Orbit wall lamps have made themselves at home in this contemporary Brooklyn loft in New York City.
The Brooklyn loft’s interior was designed by Brooklyn-based Jennifer Eisenstadt Design & Decoration. Bright and light, the apartment’s open-plan living area takes full advantage of its broad sweep of windows. The high ceilings, characteristic of loft living, elevate the apartment’s stature, helping to convey a breezy yet confident air. Using a rug as a clever means of demarcation, the main living space is divided in two: it serves as both a lounge and dining room.
It is in the dining area that interior designer Jennifer Eisenstadt chose to place LZF’s Link and Orbit lights. Suspended from the lofty ceiling, a sculptural Link pendant, designed by Irish designer Ray Power, floats gracefully with its undulating cloud-like form. The perfect choice of light for this setting, the Link pendant is framed by the loft’s high windows and city skyline beyond.
Affixed to the wall adjacent to an Eero Saarinen dining table, two unassuming Orbit lights, designed by Spanish designer Miguel Herranz, hang with aplomb. Orbit is a clever knot of light, simply crafted using a twisted piece of wood veneer. Its shape diffuses light simultaneously upwards and downwards, and its glowing form highlights the beautiful timber grain.
Handmade with masterly finesse, the LZF Link and Orbit lights are choice features of this colourful city residence. A key part of its interior composition, the wood lamps imbue the loft with cosy, honest and aesthetic qualities, all of which contribute to its poised aspect. One can imagine this Brooklyn loft at night, its laid-back vibe accompanied by chilled music beats. Friends have gathered for dinner, their chattering conversation peppered with laughter. And with a genuine appreciation, they enjoy the warm and good-natured ambience created by the Link pendant and Orbit wall lights.
