This year’s Euroluce gathered together three main new collections. They were the result of some great fun and a lot of hard work. As with all things we do here at LZF, we tried to embrace design that as always, borders on art, reflecting the true roots of our company. Coinciding with the publication of our Magazine Nº 2, we explain the way that Lzf works with both designers and friends to elaborate new intriguing products that can be used in a whole variety of ways. One of these collections introduces a new element to our catalogue, the wood figurine, a wonderfully playful collection of funky fauna, called Funny Farm by Isidro Ferrer. Each figurine is a delightful caricature of a different animal that together form a veritable “animal farm” of madness. Lzf Life size is another collection of animals on a large scale, and presented as light sculptures for both contract and public spaces. Life size is an example of collaboration with friends from different professional backgrounds who together, create something fresh and new for the world of illumination. Finally the 2015 new fixture collection with Ray Power, Burkhard Dammer, Cuatro Cuatros and the three ex-members of Macalula from Valencia presenting models this year, all of which add a positive note to our standard lighting catalogue and all of which have been designed and developed around LED technology as well as smart phone dimming possibilities.
