The new LZF Mini Chou might be a scaled-down version of its bigger Chou siblings, but it is no less impressive—the Mini Chou’s smaller size simply makes it all the more irresistible.

The Mini Chou was designed by Yonoh, a Valencia-based creative studio established in 2006 by Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma. Yonoh’s approach to design is characterised by a focus on simplicity, functionality and innovation—the studio’s work is versatile, with an artistic bent. A perfect example of this approach is found in the Mini Chou: its design (and the design of the Chou series), was inspired by the name chouchin, a traditional Japanese paper lantern whose light is typically soft and relaxing.

As with every LZF lamp, the Mini Chou is handmade in natural wood veneer at LZF’s factory in Valencia. The wood veneer shade is available in six colours: ivory white, natural beech, red, grey, pale rose and sea blue. With a black metal base and handle, the bijou Mini Chou is just 26 cm tall. It includes a dimmable LED light source, and is charged via a Type C USB. The Mini Chou has a full seven hours of autonomy at 100% power.
