Loft living is cool. Michael Stipe from REM lives in a loft. And Jay Z lives in a loft (albeit a really big one). So of course the team at LZF jumped at the chance to share in the cool by providing one of our charming wood veneer lamps to this beautiful mini-loft in Madrid.
Interior designer Belén Ferrandiz specified a MiniMikado (created by the hyper-talented Miguel Herranz) for above the dining table in the charming little abode. Like all our lights, the MiniMikado is handmade right here in our factory in Chiva, near Valencia. A lamp with strips of wood which unfold in the air and project beautiful rays across the room, we reckon it was a perfect choice for such a compact space and adds a much appreciated sculptural element.
The loft itself is located in Pinar de Chamartín. Belén Ferrandiz opened up the interior to create the feeling of a living in a single, light-filled space in which our MiniMikado takes pride of place.
Just goes to show; cool things come in small packages.
