Bachelor pads have a long history on the big and small screen. From Rock Hudson’s abode in Pillow Talk, to Frasier Crane’s swanky digs in Frasier, the perfect bachelor pad should reflect an awareness of culture and the arts, while serving as a lure for potential female visitors.
Here at LZF we like to play our part when it comes to the subject of luring potential lovers (male or female). We feel our wood lamps, especially the Link (designed by the irrepressibly Irish Ray Power) is the perfect bait. Based around the mysterious Mobius Strip, with its eternally flowing surface, the Link is the story of infinite geometry expressed through light. We like to think it is a good luck charm, may your love last eternally.
The Link was specified for this very funky bachelor pad in Toronto, Canada. Interior designer, Stephane Chamard, has created a space in a 70s office building that is at once elegant and uber-cool. The owner, a doctor, wanted to use original 50s and 60s vintage pieces throughout, including an Eames House Bird. As the images show, the Link works really well with the retro aesthetic.
Let the luring begin.
