LZF pendant lights have a reputation for being a love drug. Why this is the case is a mystery worthy of a David Attenborough documentary. Perhaps it’s simply because our handmade timber veneer lamps make you feel so damn good inside.
And as we are indeed the love drug, we think it’s only fitting that Novartis, the world’s second largest pharmaceutical company, should choose to feature our timber pendants in their regional service centre in the Elm Park Business Campus, Dublin.
The Swiss giant enlisted the services of Dublin-based architects Henry J Lyons to come up with a design that would provide a dynamic work space environment for their employees.
When it came to injecting a big happy dose of the love drug, the architect chose to consult Willie Duggan, Ireland´s leading lighting specialists, who suggested that LZF’s Link pendants by local Irishman Ray Power (who has been spotted wandering around Novartis, gazing up longingly at his creations) and Saturnia pendants by Oskar Cerezo would be perfect for the job.
Both of these LZF pendant lights provide the corporate environment with a real sense of joy de vivre, aided and abetted by the interior architect’s brave use of colour throughout.
The LZF Link – comprising of infinitely flowing Mobius strips –is finished in Ivory White and helps to soften the sharp 90-degree angles of work-units, doorways and window frames, while adding an organic point of interest to the space.
The Saturnia, which also features, is one of our all-time classic designs. Inspired by the ethereal discs of the sixth planet from the sun, its curvaceous form serves to remind that we are all part of the cosmos together, united by light.
We love how the designer has not been afraid to combine the Saturnia and Link in the same dining room (the Saturnia appears over the bar) so they can tell each other how incredibly hip they are.
Take the drug. Share the love.
